100 killed, 390 injured in Hajj stampede at Mina: At least 100 pilgrims were killed on Thursday in a crush at Mina, outside the Muslim holy city of Makkah, where some two million people are performing Haj, Saudi Arabia's al-Ekhbariya television reported.

The news channel also cited civil defense officials as saying that 390 people were injured in the incident.

Less than a fortnight before Haj, a massive construction crane crashed into Makkah's Grand Mosque in stormy weather Friday, killing at least 107 people and injuring 238, Saudi authorities said at the time.
